Updated 12:27 a.m.10/11

Umm, this will be "last call" yinzers.

#1 Clemson poured dry ice into the eye of the University of Miami Gardens hurricane that department head Manny Diaz brought to Death Valley. It was a blow-out, 42-17 over the 7th-ranked Gardeners.

Lane Kiffin's unranked Olé Miss Traitors gave Nick Satan's Pink Mist all they could handle in a 63-48 shoot-out in Oxford. Kiff's Kids were tied 42-42 with the NFL's 33rd franchise near the end of the 3Q. Olé Miss is 1-2, Bama 3-0 but an inspired performance by Olé Miss that dampens not a whit the optimism for the future in Oxford. Well done Lane and players.

*Update 10:09 p.m.

The Nation's eyes were trained on Chestnut Hill, MA this afternoon in the Titanic Tilt between the Pigeons of Boston College and my beloved Pitt "Panthers." Alas, for the second straight week the Cats couldn't get a meal. BC 31 Pitt 30 in OT.

Lane Kiffin is goin' head-to-head with Nick Satan and givin' as goo as he gits. Well, it was tied 35-35 when I began this post however in an instance of the Harris Uncertainty Principle at work Alabama just scored to take a 42-35 lead. Very late in the Turd.

Dumbo is not having nearly as tough a time in Death Valley against UMG, 28-10 7:22 3Q.

8:24 p.m. at night Eastern Cop Time

Around the horn we go in professorial tackle football.

Professor Cutcliffe, one of my all-time favorite profs took his Dook Bloo Devils into the Carrier Dome to face the Orangemen of Syracuse. 'Member I toldja 'Cuse distinguished prof Dabo Babers better be careful? Dook had this here many wins on the season . Syracuse had une, last week. The game was in upstate New Yawk. The Orangemen would have been favored to win. Instead they lost. And lost pertty good, or bad, 38-24. Dook led almost the entire game. Bloo devils rise to 1-4; Syracuse falls to 1-3. Not goo for Dabo.

In College Station, Texas Jumbo Fisher's Agathas, # 21, beat the Florida Alligators 41-38. FU was numero four-o. Both institutions are now 2-1.

The Big XII conference is an effing mess, which you'd expect from a conference denominated XII with X member institutions. The University of Oklahoma  was 1-2 coming into today's iteration of the "Red River...Classic," I think it is, agin' Texas University who wuz 2-1 and ranked 22nd. The Big Whatever badly needed TU to win. So they lost, in fo' OT's, 53-45. Doing our arithmetic both are now 2-2.

Watch out for the Fighting Mack Browns. Number eight North C'lina is now 3-0 after beating VaTech--who were 15 players shy of a full load due to TrumPlague--56-45 in Apple Chill. Does it count when you beat a team -15? Yessir.

Mizzoo beat #17 Elle Esse Whoo in Red Stick.

Dumbo Swinney's numero uno Clemson Tagers leads the University of Miami Gardens 7-goose near the end of the 1Q.

Number Dos Alabama is in Oxford, MS to play Olé Miss. 7-7 at the start of the 2Q. Interesting matchup between two classes taught by two of 'Murika's fave profs, Nick Satan and Lane Kiffin. You go back and forth on who to root for in a game like that if you know what I mean and I think you do.
