"My advice to Donald Trump has been and will continue to be to focus on jobs and national security and stop responding to every criticism, whether it's from a grieving family or Hillary Clinton," Sen. Roy Blunt.
He CANNOT! He is incapable of not responding much less apologizing or admitting error. He has a pavlovian response, he must.
So my advice, previously given, to the Democrats and Hillary Clinton, is to attack Trump 24/7 and from multiple angles:
Have Elizabeth Warren here, criticizing him for that;
Have Bernie Sanders there, going after him over some other;
Bubba somewhere else on a different subject;
Kaine, different place, different subject;
Hillary a fifth place, a fifth subject;
Obama a sixth place, sixth subject;
TV ads, seventh subject.
Constant, relentless, A-T-T-A-C-K! A-T-T-A-C-K! A-T-T-A-C-K! Trump will experience sensory overload and short-circuit. He will turn into a cornered animal not knowing who to lash out at first and he will lash out at every one of them, he is incapable of not lashing out. Show up at his rallies! Hound him. Hunt him. Stalk him. Keep him on the defensive. He is going to lose it.
