Hall and Ollison's Greatest Single
7:22 pm
The Main Event
Pitt was playing on some kinda magic carpet today at Heinz Field.
They destroyed Va Tech, 52-22. The Powerful Panthers had 654 total yards, run and pass, a school record. The Big O had three TD's on 235 yards and 16 carries, 14.7 yards per; Do it All, one TD on 186 and 7, an insane 26.6 yds/carry. I think you'd have to go back to the great Oklahoma teams with Greg Pruitt and Joe Wiley to see two running backs with rushing stats like that in one game. As a team Pitt averaged 13.7 yards per rush.
Pitt has two tricky games to end the season--But who is to say any game outside the NFL would be tricky for this team now?--at Wake Forest next week and at Miami the week after. Win one of those and the "Panthers" win the ACC Coastal Division and play Clemson for the conference championship.
Who would have thought...The 51-6 humiliation to PSU, the embarrassing Debacle at Chapel Hill, the 45-14 Knights Kniving, who would have thought that that team would--somehow!--morph into this team, Oklahoma by the Three Rivers?
NOT.
I.
I have to gather myself after that. Later.

Pitt’s two great running back’s Darrin Do it All Hall and Qadree O! Ollison had 111 and 96 yards respectively AT THE HALF. Do it All was averaging 22 yards per carry.

Okie dokie:
The "'Huskers" are comin' around. Nebraska won its third in a row, a rout of Illinoise in Lincoln 54-35.
#10 Ohio State soundly beat #18 Michigan State in East Spartak 26-6. Guess Urban Meyer can still coach some.
Dook, Dook, Dook, Dook of Earl, Earl, Earl beat North Carolina 42-35 at Durham. "Blue Devils" now 7-3, Apple Chills...I don't want to talk about it.
Smoo beat Edsel's "Poodles" 62-50 in East Hartford. UConn is 1-9 and has given up:
56
62
49 (in their only win)
51
49

Oh congratulations to Newcastle who beat sixth-sitting Bournemouth today at St. James Park. That moves them, temporarily, into the rarefied air of 14th place, still only one point clear of the drop. Newcastle’s second win in a row! Go Rooks.
And to Cardiff, 2-1 winners over Brighton. “Bluebirds” still in Coca-Cola territory though.
Ain't nothing gonna break my stride
Nobody gonna slow me down
Oh no
I got to keep on moving
Ain't nothing gonna break-a my stride
I'm running
And I won't touch ground
Oh no
I got to keep on moving
You're on a roll and now you pray it'll last
The road beyond is rocky
But now you're feeling cocky
You look at me and you see your past
Is that the reason
Why you're running so fast?
And she said
Ain't nothing gonna break-a my stride
Nobody gonna slow me down
Oh no
I got to keep on moving
Ain't nothing gonna break my stride
I'm running
And I won't touch ground
Oh no
I got to keep on moving
