Oh my God lolol. I have written about becoming a City fan in the bad old days before the Manchester Revolution. Joey Barton snuffed a lit cigar out in the eye of an academy player at the club Christmas party. We played at derelict Maine Road, better named Main Derelict Road. This is from one of those bad years, 2004/05. Our manager was nicknamed “Psycho,” our goalkeeper was nicknamed “Calamity” and in this match Stuart “Psycho” Pearce put David “Calamity” James in to play striker. A Middlesbrough player almost almost loses his life in a calamitous collision at the end here.
