This is like frigging groundhog day.
14-day changes
-11% Cases
-29% Hospitalizations
-5% Deaths
Identical numbers to yesterday's except Cases were 12% yesterday. Weird.
7-day daily averages
60,258 Cases. Down.
44,865 Hospitalizations. Down.
Take a look at the Deaths graph before I post the numbers:
4.01% Deaths to Hospitalizations rate. Up. Bad.
2,159,392 Vaccinations. Up (good).
Daily numbers
58,062 Cases (March 6) Down.
Oh my goodness, Johns Hopkins, where I always get the daily numbers, is all haywire on Deaths, as the Times graph for March 6 appears to be off. That’s small taters compared to the Johnnies, though. Know how many Deaths Hopkins has for March 6? 7,283 lol. The numbers for every day on their Deaths graph are off. Examples: 7,283 is down (!) from March 5, 9,991! According to the numbers on their graph tonight we reached a high of 17,893 Deaths on 45-1’s last day in office, Jan. 20. Damn, he was more a manslayer than I credited him lol. So I can’t use Hopkins for daily Deaths tonight (their numbers on the Cases graph do not appear to be hooey). I will use the Times.
1,459 Deaths (March 6). Down. Folks, this data is all fucked up. The Times has that down from 2,483 March 5. Almost 1k? This is a helluva lag day, huh? Lol. I have no idea—obviously—what groundhogs have gotten into these data bases tonight but I’m gonna roll with 1,459 for March 6.
2,439,427 Vaccinations (March 7). Down (bad)
I don’t have an abundance of optimism lol in this data but I will give it a grade, subject to revision (along with the numbers themselves), based on what seems the best of the mess.
Grade: B
