In September 2017 Altman signed Dwyane Wade. In February 2018 Altman traded Crowder and Wade, who had been with the club for six and five months respectively, along with Channing Frye, Derrick Rose and Iman Shumpert for Rodney Hood, George Hill, Jordan Clarkson, and Larry Nance Jr. In the summer of 2018 Cleveland was swept by Golden State in the NBA Finals after which LeBron James took his talents to SoCal.
In short, the 2018-19 "Cavaliers" have been solitary, poor, nasty, brutish and Gilbert, just as the previous four LeBron-less seasons were. This team could not be more a Dan Gilbert production directed by Koby Altman. It has won 8 of 43 games, 18.2%. It has lost 12 games in a row. The highest percentage of games Cleveland has won under Gilbert sans LBJ is 40.2. The other years it was 29.3%, 31.8% and 23.2%.
LeBron is not Coming Home II so the Cleveland "Cavaliers," one of Adam Silver's thirty business franchises is ruined completely and in perpetuity because of that man, Dan Gilbert, and there is nothing the league's commissioner can do about it.
