Hmm. You know: I’m getting this some more now.
”I’m not frustrated”
“In this league, save for maybe one team, is about dealing with adversity, dealing with competition, dealing with things that don’t necessarily go your way and seeing how you respond to it collectively, seeing if you can become something new and something better from the tough times.
“You don’t need to feel sorry for any of us. We’re living our dream. We’re hitting up against a wall right now and we have to find maybe a different path instead of just trying to bang our head right through it.”

It’s startling to read “I’m not frustrated” coming from the head coach of the “Heat.” Hell, I’m so exasperated with them I gave up! Spoelstra said last year when Hassan Whiteside was exasperated: “I love coaching this team!” He meant it. “We’re living our dream.” It is exceedingly rare that a person recognizes that in the moment, especially the difficult moments of life. And Spoelstra coaches, man. He’s not checked out or just rolling the ball out. He holds practices (unlike Ty Lue). “We’re living our dream:” Why does that make Spoelstra a better coach? I believe it does but I can’t say why. No, I don’t get it. I intuit it.
