COVID-19 BIDEN+82*#

The data in the 7:23 p.m. post below was based on the Times' COVID-19 webpage that was updated at 5:38 p.m. today. Luckily, I screenshotted it.

After posting, with all of my suspicions, ultimately resolved in belief in the Times I made a sandwich and got on my phone. I don't know why, but like a masochist I checked the Times' COVID page again. It had been updated at 6:29 p.m.

I have changed the post below where indicated.

7:23 p.m.

Well, this is interesting:

14-day changes

+6% Cases. That is a HUGE change from the +11% iteration on BIDEN+81. Unheard of. Should we be suspicious? Um, I don't know.
+10% +22% Hospitalizations. +10% is the same as the number on Biden+81. Oh my God, a HUMONGUOUS jump from 10% yesterday! I have never seen anything like that. Very strange.
-27% Deaths. One point...How do you phrase this?...BIDEN+81 was -26%. Is -27% one point "more" than 26%? Less? "Better." Anyway, the more important point is that a one point change from two weeks ago is normal; a five point change is not, not at all.

7-day daily averages April 6 through April 12 unless indicated

69,031 Cases. Down. Down 619 per day from BIDEN +81. But BIDEN+81 was up from BIDEN+80. That does not account for the five-point change in Cases. Strange.

43,640 No data reported 48,554  Hospitalizations. Down. Up a humongous 5,100 from the BIDEN+81 daily average. Man, look at that bitch:

I comprehend this now as the Quasi-Official New York Times having a bone in its brain. I have no comprehension of this. The Cases rise is cut more than half from two weeks ago; the Hospitalizations rise more than doubles from two weeks ago. Cases fall 0.89% over the last seven days while H's rise 10.6%! The Times offers no explanation. Guess what's going to happen to the D-H rate?

722 Deaths. Down. Included in that number for the last seven days is the first person I "know," by three degrees of separation, who died of COVID. The 60+ year old father of one of my daughter's closest and longest friends. Also a COVID Hoaxer who didn't believe vaccination necessary. First tested positive when he went to the hospital; died like five days later.

1.65% Deaths-Hospitalizations rate. Down. NA, no H numbers 1.48%  Deaths-Hospitalization rate. Yep, a HUGE 0.20% drop in one day!

3,384,387 Vax (April 7-13). Up. Bad news on the Vax front, though. The CDC has recommended a "pause" on the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine because of rare blood clots. It's the same problem that has afflicted, and also "paused", the troubled AstraZeneca vaccine in Britain, Europe, and the world.

July 11 Herd Immunity Day. Are you serious?...I just checked to make sure I was reading the correct date and yes, July 11 is the new date. That is four days forward of where it was on BIDEN+81. So that's the second big change in today's data. 

Rather than listening to my gut I should have listened to my sperm like Nicholas Kristof. It is just my gut sense, maybe because I don't have any food in my gut at the moment, but I think the Times' numbers, strange as they are, too strange to admit of any reasonable explanation that I can conceive, are correct.

President Biden Grade D F (I'm pretty sure the grade will be unchanged but it was so close to being a D (60%) that I'm going to have to recalculate after I perform a brainectomy on the aforementioned FAKE NEWS outlet)).  (the closest (58%) to a D that he has gotten in several days.)
