The Trump Coup d’etat cannot continue. The National Guard should be armed with machine guns and armored vehicles, tanks and the like (if they have them) at check points on roads leading into the Capitol. Tire-puncture strips should be laid across the roads forward of the check points.
The fascists will be armed and body-armored and will shoot at the Guardsmen and attempt to ram through the blockade. Once the first shot or breach is attempted the Guard should mow them down with the machine guns and flatten vehicles with their tanks.
