I like a two-a-day format for posting on this better than the one-a-day at ~10 pm. The daily numbers are out of date by 10 pm and the 7-day averages and the 14-day changes are available and early in the morning. So: totals at night, averages and changes earlier in the day.
14-day (Dec. 27-Jan. 9) changes:
+34% Cases
+11% Hospitalizations
+43% Deaths
Horrific numbers. There is some Holiday reporting neglect and then post-holiday catch-up to them however. The seven-day (Jan. 3-9, which still includes the reporting lag days of Jan. 3 and 4) Cases average for instance is down 5,500 from Jan. 2-8. The Deaths average is still up, to 3,189 (from 3,062).
