John Ellis Bush is cutting staff and expenditures, his campaign announced today. Last candidate to do that (first one this campaign), Rick Perry and we hope Rick is out of the way of Patricia. He sure isn't in Iowa no more. Me thinks Jeb! gonna do same.
Bush's candidacy never got done to get undone. As soon as he opened his mouth as an official candidate he revealed that he had Bush Syndrome, a disorder affecting the neural switches between brain and mouth. He couldn't answer the first goddamned question posed him as a candidate, "Would you have invaded Iraq?" His fourth iteration on that, that his brother "kept us safe," revealed him also to have a glass jaw for Donald Trump shattered it. His fundraisers and backers can be forgiven if that was the straw that broke the monkey's jaw. All the king's horses and all the king's men can't put Johnny back together again. (Three metaphors in a row there, yes, of debatable quality, but as Dr. Johnson said of the dancing three-legged dog, "It's not that it's done well but that it's done at all.")
