That just kills the North Carolina kids' psyches, you know? They had lost two in a row, they were 10-12 coming into the Duke game, they had a 10-point lead with 2'18" to go in regulation and spit the bit. They had a five point lead with 21" left in overtime and choked on that and lost. Jesus Christ. Just an excruciating loss.
They're kids. Young people are resilient, yeah. But young people's resiliency comes from bouncing HIGH and falling low and I can't imagine these young elite athletes, who have known nothing but success and triumph in their short lives, having ever had a low like this. It's terrible. I feel so sorry for them. And for their coach, the elite Roy Williams. Has he ever had a season like this? I doubt it.
