Still no Bam, my goodness gracious. That kid has been bionic his first few years. I bet this is the most consecutive games he’s missed since being in the Association.
Orlando’s pretty bad so. Jimmy was 29 on 10/17, 7, 9, 5–five--steals, and 1 block. Jimmy’s in the MVP convo. Depends how the team does but on the strict criteria, okay, most “valuable”? Show me a guy more “most valuable” to his team.
Kelly Olynyk started in place of Bam. 18, 7, 4, 3, 2. That’s a damn good game. I still can’t stand him as a player.
Tyler Herro was a wild man tonight. Last guy off the bench, he scored 22 in 29’ on 8/16 (4/8), 8 rebounds (for a fucking guard), 3, 1, and 1.
Tyler made up for the π, who was not spittin’ fire tonight hooo dogggie. 1/11 (1/8), 3 points for Goranπ.
It happens. Dragons is sooo stupid sometimes.
Orlando killed the “Heat” on the boards the other night; woulda won the game if they coulda shoot straight, but off those three “Heat” players’ stat lines, I don’t think they outrebounded them tonight. Let’s see...Damn if they did, 45-43.
Oh my gosh, N. Vucevic was a frigging MONSTER tonight for the “Magic.” He’s the center, the “Heat” don’t have one, tonight they had K.O., and N. Vucevic ate whomever Miami threw at him, which betcha was EVERYBODY ‘fore it was done, for dinner. 38 points in 38 minutes (pretty fair ratio there) on 15/27 (6/13 from range!), holy hell—to have a center who can hit from that distance?—10 boards, 6 assists, 2 steals...Here’s the downside to all those touches, 7 turnovers. N.’s +/- was -10. The standard plus-minus is a horseshit stat but 7 TO’s really hurts the cause and one’s standard +/-. Imagine N.’s surprise when he looks at his stat line and sees he hurt his team by a cumulative 10 points when he was on the floor. “What?!” Yeah, it’s a bullshit stat. How many steals Jimmy have?...Oh yeah, five. I bet Jimmy picked that big guy’s pocket a time or three. Hell, Kelly had three steals. Betcha one or more came off N, too.
Jesus Christ, T. Ross! Does Orlando know they can play five guys at a time? T., like Herro the last guy off the bench, is a guard (Tyler is listed as having played the point tonight(?). Maybe that’s what discombulated the π), T. is a shooting guard, so I don’t know who was guarding him tonight—Obviously nobody well!—cuz T. put up 31 pernts in 34’ on 10/19 (8/13) :o oh my God, okay, so did T. have a bad +/-?...π-8. So, Bees and Gees, without deadweight N. and T. the “Magic” would have beat the “Heat” by 13 points, that’s what the +/- means. The NBA oughtta do away with that stat. It is so much worse than useless. Filling out T.’s stat line, 5, 3, 0, 0, 3 TO’s. Not atrocious over 34’ for a shooting guard who took 19 shots, but Orlando did lose the game on TO’s, 23 to Miami’s 11. N. and T. combined for 69 of ORL’s 97 points, nobody else was in double digits! Nice balance. “Heat’s” now won 10 of their last 11. Wow. Turnaround.
