Protesters were in Lafayette Park across the street from the White House today. They were completely peaceful. Minutes before Trump was about to begin a press conference in the Rose Garden riot police rounded the corner and stood in front of the protesters. Presently the police took a few steps into the protesters to move them back. Then after a pause, a few more steps. Then a few more. Then they fired tear gas at the protesters. As my feed from CNN was cut police mounted on horseback approached the crowd to disperse them. Completely unjustified by the police. The protesters were not violent, had done nothing wrong. The police moved in and cleared them out for one reason: Trump wanted it. In chronological order I took these screenshots.
